Bark detection
JORO-3D-SCANplus is a further development of conventional true shape measurement. The system uses optical effects, similar to board sorting applications, to distinguish bark from wood. The basis for this is the different reflection behaviour of bark and wood. The recording and evaluation of these effects then provides the bark content and the bark thickness of partially truncated trunks.
